Wrong On Taxes

-"Every time we pass a bill that
reduces taxes, we take revenue out of the state budget." is Liz Krueger's motto. Liz Krueger voted NO on a Senate tax cut measure that would have provided a total of $3.363 billion in tax cuts to property owners and small businesses in 2007-2008 and again voted against the Rebate Plus Act of 2007 which provides tax rebates and establishes a blue ribbon commission for property tax reform.

- Voted against doubling the STAR rebate check amounts for senior citizens.

- Liz Krueger voted NO on a measure that would reform New York City's "421-a" tax incentive program that encourages new housing construction.

- Voted against a freeze on property assessed values for senior citizen homeowners.

Lacks Accountability

- Reluctant to hold school districts accountable for the taxpayers money schools spend, Liz Krueger voted NO on a measure that would require each school district to include the percentage of it's budget spent on instructional expenses in it's school district report card.

Job Killer

- Lacking the understanding that a vibrant business environment stimulates the State's economy, Liz Krueger voted against the Senate's Small Business Assistance Package, that eliminates the franchise tax for manufacturers and provides property tax rebates to small businesses.

- Liz Krueger also voted NO on rebates similar to payments in lieu of taxes to encourage private developers to invest in public infrastructure.

Not Protecting Us

- Voted against legislation that would stop the Department of Motor Vehicles from issueing driver's licenses to Illegal Immigrants.

- Not recognizing that a rape victim has a right to know if their rapist has HIV, Liz Krueger voted NO against a measure that would require certain criminal defendants to be tested for HIV when charged with a qualifying offense.

- Not wanting to protect those who protect us, Liz Krueger was against legislation that would provide a sentence of death or life imprisonment without parole to cop killers.

- Understanding that the initiation of new gang members have been know to include damaging private property as well as rape or killing of random victims, Liz Krueger voted NO against anti-gang legislation that would make gang recruitment a felony.

- Ignoring environmental factors that cause breast cancer, Liz Krueger voted against funding for a Breast Cancer Environmental Risk Factor Program.

Soft on Security

- Liz Krueger voted NO for the restoration of $10M for security at the ports of NYC, Buffalo-Niagara, Ogdensburg, Albany, and Oswego.

- Liz Krueger looked to cut healthcare services to the elderly and the needy by voting for $18.5M in cuts to NYC area hospitals and nursing homes.
